Pride & Humility – Our Spiritual Worth
Pride & Humility.
What is your Spiritual Worth?
Dear New Church Phoenix Community and friends,
We look forward to seeing you in church this Sunday.
Our message will be about Pride & Humility in a Christian’s life.
Have you ever done anything that you were ashamed/proud of?
Pride and humility can be seen as two contrasting qualities or states of mind that often play a significant role in shaping a person’s character and behavior. They represent different approaches to self-perception, interaction with others, and life in general.
We are spiritually characterized by our dominant love and the choices we freely make.
Would you say you are a proud person? A humble person?
Can one be proud and at the same time humble?
What does the Lord prescribe?
Let’s explore this topic in light of what the Lord teaches in His parable about the Pharisee and the Tax Collector in the temple. What can we learn from this parable?
“… for everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted.” Lk. 18:14.
How do we ensure that these *qualities (Pride & Humility) serve as assets rather than hindrances in one’s life?
