Forgiveness -Part 3 -7/26/20
We continue with forgiveness.
This Sunday: When you find yourself unwilling to forgive
What do you think of the following definition of Forgiveness?
Forgiveness is the intentional and voluntary process by which a victim undergoes a change in feelings and attitude regarding an offense, and overcomes negative emotions such as resentment and vengeance.
Or should I ask: what is your best personal definition of forgiveness?
We all know a thing or two about forgiveness. And the Lord can teach us even more.
Forgiveness can be a powerful opportunity for re-connection, both with the offender and with ourselves.
And so, learning to forgive can prepare or help a person move forward in life rather than becoming a roadblock to success, friendship, and peace.
