Sermon: Self Examination & Repentance

This Sunday, We begin a new series on Repentance. What is repentance? Why is it important to repent?
This is a 6 part series inspired by TCR 567 [5,6].
In this series, we are going to look at examples on the themes of the kind of repentance that leads to a true reformation. Can we do our own inventory as we approach the end of the year? This will help us see and acknowledge areas in our life where we are off base.
There are key steps that can help us start a new and better life. In Ezekiel 18:31 we read: “Cast away from you all the transgressions which you have committed, and get yourselves a new heart and a new spirit.”
In many places in the Word we are called to self-examine our-self so that we can get ready to engage in the true work of uses and charity.
So, the first part of this series is:Self Examination and repentance.
I hope you will enjoy this series as repentance is a fundamental part of our spiritual journey/duty. The goal is to give us more tools for a life of true uses.
Remember that without repentance there can not be any true reformation, thus no regeneration.
I see this series as a good preparation for the upcoming official Journey Campaign Program in January– Love over Ego and the story of Daniel.
Thanks for your time.
May the Lord bless you.
Love.
Jean
